The electronic certificates (e-certificates) will be sent out in May or June. These e-certificates will serve as a token of recognition for the student’s outstanding performance in the competition.

Introduction

Ireland in Education, the Hong Kong Transnational Education Services Centre, Miss Man International Education and All-round development Educational innovation (social enterprise) have joined forces to present an exciting opportunity for schools and students: the ReadQuest Chinese & English Challenges & Competition. This collaborative initiative aims to promote literacy, language proficiency, and cultural exchange among participants.
Through engaging reading challenges and stimulating competitions, students will enhance their language skills, foster creativity, and develop critical thinking abilities. This event serves as a platform for students to showcase their talents and passion for reading in both Chinese and English languages. We are thrilled to bring this enriching experience to schools and students, fostering a love for literature and language while celebrating diversity and collaboration.
The reading texts are including various of topics related to Ireland, STEM, History, Science, geography, etc. The awards and the ceremony are full of surprises. May this competition be a stepping stone towards a greater future where education and collaboration know more boarders.

簡介

愛爾蘭教育、香港跨國教育服務中心、信念國際教育(Miss Man International Education)和全人 教育發展創新(社企)攜手合作,為學校和學生帶來一個令人興奮的機會:「閱讀探索中英挑戰與比賽」。這個合作計劃旨在促進參與者之間的文化交流,提升識字能力、語言能力和文化交流。
通過有趣的閱讀挑戰和刺激的比賽，學生們將增強他們的語言能力，培養創造力，發展批判性思維能 力。這個活動為學生們提供了一個展示他們在中文和英文兩種語言中閱讀才能和熱情的平台。我們很 高興將這個豐富的體驗帶給學校和學生，培養對文學和語言的熱愛，同時慶祝多樣性和合作。

About Education In Ireland 關於愛爾蘭教育

Enterprise Ireland manages the Education in Ireland national brand under the authority of the Minister of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation & Science. Enterprise Ireland is responsible for the promotion of Irish Higher Education Institutions overseas. Enterprise Ireland is the Irish state agency responsible for supporting the development of manufacturing and internationally traded services companies. Enterprise Ireland provides funding and supports for companies – from entrepreneurs with plans for a high potential start-up through to large companies expanding their activities, improving efficiency and growing export sales. 4. The competition is sponsored by Ireland in Education and it is free of charge for secondary students to challenge themselves

6. Follows IELTS & DSE curriculum to create the texts by the professional teams

7. All Multiple Choice questions to test students ability such as logical thinking, reasoning and time management

TARGET AUDIENCE 參加對象

Secondary School students in 2 separate groups: 

Junior form : Secondary 1 – 3 (Grade 7 – 9) : Category 1 

Senior form : Secondary 4 – 6 (Grade 10 – 12): Category 2 

中學生分為兩個組別： 

初中： 中一至中三（七年級至九年級）：第一組別 

高中： 中四至中六（十年級至十二年級）：第二組別

Competition dates: 14 or 21 April 2024 (online mode, pick one day only)
Time: To be confirmed
School testing period: 8 April to 26 April 2024
(School coordinators can arrange for students to take the online or paper based test in the schools (Schools need to bring their own printed papers
and answer sheets.) or arrange for students to attend the online test on 14 or 21 April, which will be hosted by Miss Man International Education.)
Competition fees: Free of charge

Competition duration and format 比賽時間及格式

Competition duration : 1 hour Competition question types: Mainly multiple-choice questions, four to five Chinese and English reading comprehension articles, from easy to difficult, a total of 40 questions 

考核時間：1小時 比賽題型：以選擇題為主，四至五篇中文和英文的閱讀理解，由淺入深，共 40 道題目

(Top Prizes worth up to HK$30,000)

♦Gold: the other top 4, top 5 and top 6 students in each category
can also get the Medal and Certificate
